About Thomas

Thomas has been running seriously since 2013 and has experienced the highs and lows of running. He has experimented with a variety of methods and sought out expert advice to reach his running potential. Thomas now averages 150 kilometres in running distance each week and has seen his marathon time improve from 4 hours 51 minutes to now 2 hours and 42 minutes.

Thomas has experienced the highs of running, including having the most first place finishes at parkrun in Australia. He has also won Park2Park in Ipswich and Warwick Pentathrun. He has podiumed at Toowoomba, Mogill and Gordanvale and has achieved 1st in his age group at the Brisbane Marathon.

He has also experienced the lows, including a wide variety of injuries and years-long form slumps.

Through these experiences, Thomas has found ways to overcome and reach higher, to find what really matters in running and life.

Thomas has completed an athletics training course, worked as a Physical Education teacher, organised sporting events and is the Event Director at his local parkrun. He is key member of a number of running groups.
